Why I won’t be voting for Obama

I’ve been playing around with starting this blog for  a while but have never really gotten around to doing much with it. I think its time to changed that. The main reason is so I can voice my views on politics and other items that strike my fancy. I will post this elsewhere on this site but just to let who ever reads this know that I will have a comment policy on this site. I welcome debate and opinions which vary from my own. I feel this country was founded on debate and it is one of the cornerstones of our freedom. With that being said, I approve all comments on all my blogs and I will approve controversial comments which demonstrates a different opinion than my own or anyone else who contributes to a post, but what I will not approve is personal attacks that add no value to the conversation. Vulgar or profane comments will be promptly deleted.

Now to the post. I decided a couple of weeks ago to create a blog on myfoxatlanta.com and I made one post titled. Why I won’t be voting for Obama.  Well that seems to have started a little debate. I’ll repost the post below so the conversation can continue here and so I will have a better platform and vehicle to respond to comments from. Original post follows:

I’ve been following the democratic contests for president and its becoming alarming. i was supporting Barak Obama, but with some of the recent questions that have been raised about his past and voting record I’m now thinking I do not want this person in the Whitehouse.

There has been some serious questions raised about whether he has ties to criminals and its definitely apparent that he is a member of a church that has racist tendencies in its doctrine. I for one do not think anyone who may be racist has any place in any office let alone the presidential office. Now a lot of people will say none of this is Barak and its only that he associates with these people not that he is like this. Well most people tend to hang out with people who have similar interests as they do. In my humble opinion you choose a president based on character as well as experience and its becoming increasingly apparent Obama has neither.

One thing that really bothers me is no one is really reporting on this for fear of being called a racist for asking questions about Barak’s past. Well I’m asking questions and I’m more than willing to listen to differing views from my own on this subject. That is what democracy is all about, The right of people to choose and voice their views. Barak’s past needs to be investigated. I had pledged that I would not vote republican this year, but now if Barak is the nominee, there is no way I will vote for him.

This was my original post and there have been quite a few comments. My contention is that Barak’s character has come into question. His pastor and that church breed hate. In my humble opinion hate begets hate and anyone who has such questionable ties should not be President of the United States of America.

Is Obama a Racist

There have been some serious questions raised lately about Barak Obama and whether he may have racist tendencies. Its very apparent that his church has tendencies that are racist against whites. Plus there have also been questions about his ties to terrorists. I originally had planned on voting for Obama, but now I don’t think I can vote for him. Now whether he is actually racist or not, I don’t know, but there is evidence to suggest this. I personally do not think the Whitehouse or any office has room for racism. Following is the 12 statements from his church:
