The Obama stimulus plan looks like it will pass next week. Some republicans do not like the bill but there are not enough numbers for people who oppose the plan to hold it up. The Republicans can attempt a filabuster, but its not likely that will happen.
So it looks like the Obama stimulus plan will pass, we’ll just have to see what type of concessions is put in for the republicans.

The new national unemployment rate has been published and its another record high at 9.5%. This comes right after President Obama announced that the stimulus plan has done its job. I guess this news just has not made it to the millions of Americans who are now out of work.

I am vehemently opposed to the stimulus bill in its current form. It’s nothing more than politics as usual. The proposal on the table is big on the giveaways for the special interests and corporate high rollers, yet short on help for ordinary working Americans. I cannot and do not support the package on the table from the Democrats and the Obama Administration. Our country does not need just another spending bill, particularly not one that will load future generations with the burden of massive debt.
the stimulis plan sucks. did you know that over a billion of the taxpayers dollars in the plan went to a freakin mouse habitat? well i guess that the grandchildren of those mice will be fine but what about when it comes time for american retirement well all still be workin. thanks barack and nancy
