Olympia Snowe Breaks Ranks

As expected Senator Olympia Snowe broke ranks with the republicans on the Finance committee for the Senate Health Care bill. Snowe was the only republican to vote to move the bill along. The vote which fell down party lines passed the committee earlier this afternoon. Of course some people are upset and some people are just plain stupid. Almost immediately after the vote The Huffington Post published a story on how Michael Steele supposedly said she must be from Kenya. This is so stupid and shows the ignorance of many of the bloggers on The Huffington Post.

Andy Borowitz made the post right after the vote. If Steele made such a comment then where is the sound bite? Michael Steele is a  lot smarter than those people on the left and would never make such a gaffe. If the story would have been about Joe Biden making such a comment then I would believe it. I know Borowitz is supposed to be making outrageous claims in a hope that they will be funny, but sometimes he is just plain stupid.

I hope the readers of the Huffington Post are not as dumb, but judging from many of the comments I see over there it may be the case. It amazes me at the garbage that comes out of that site and what amazes me more is the number of people who actually visit the site. Are we as a country this stupid? The site definitely leans to the left, but I thought they at least had a little sense when flat out publishing lies even if they are supposed to be jokes. I guess I gave them too much credit.

This from the same site that had 6000 comments on a post that was lashing out when SNL made fun of Obama. The sad thing what SNL did was based on the truth. Obama has not done anything since coming into office and now the left can’t take those types of jokes.

Now the Whitehouse is shunning Fox News for what they say is untruthful coverage and bias, but just a couple of days after one of their cheerleaders make such a statement. Which is clearly designed to sway the reader’s perception and brain wash. A lot of people on the Huffington Post won’t get that its supposed to be a joke and will start repeating it. I guess the further your mind leans to the left the less oxygen it gets or something.
