The 48 Laws of Power

Now that Barak Obama has won the Whitehouse many people are starting to wonder exactly who he is. I’ve been wondering that for months. Seems to me like people should wonder about where a President comes from prior to actually electing him, but that’s an argument for another post. It seems the Barak Obama uses something called the 48 laws of power to govern his life. Perhaps we can ascertain some glimpse into how he may govern based on these 48 laws of power.

The 48 Laws of Power is a 1998 book by Robert Greene. The book shares thematic elements with Niccolò Machiavelli’s The Prince[1] and has been compared to Sun-Tzu’s classic treatise The Art of War.

Sources and inspirations
Greene uses anecdotes from historical figures such as Louis XIV, Talleyrand, Otto von Bismarck, Catherine the Great, Mao Zedong, Haile Selassie and various con artists in order to illustrate real-world application of the 48 rules. Greene’s modern courtship theory was inspired by the writings of Baltasar Gracian and Niccolò Machiavelli.[citation needed] Greene also often uses an amoral approach, mimicking Machiavellian language, leaving the reader to weigh the ethical implications of the laws.

Well today is Halloween one of my favorite days of the year. I hope everyone has a happy Halloween and make sure you don’t get scared by all the ghosts and goblins this year. Hopefully by now you have gotten out and found that perfect Halloween costume, if not the Halloween Spirit Store is holding sales today. If you want one for next year, then check out the Spirit Halloween store tomorrow or Sunday as they will be having Halloween costume sales and taking an additional 25% or 50% off the Halloween costumes in stock.

I got to wondering what others where thinking about this Halloween so I looked for some interesting search terms associated with Halloween.

Obama Redistribution of Wealth

Lots of people have been talking about Obama’s plan for the redistribution of wealth after he becomes president. Now there has been some back and forth. Some say one thing about Obama’s tax plan and the implications for the redistribution of wealth. Well now an audio has surfaced of Obama in his own words talking more about his views on the redistribution of wealth. Now personally I’m not a rich person, but some people may say I’m doing okay. My contention is that I would not qualify for any of Obama’ redistribution of wealth policies and no one sure has the right of anything I’ve earned. I’m the one who has worked day and night for my entire adult life to accumulate what little I have and no one should be able to say I need to redistribute any part of my wealth to someone else who has not earned it.
