Paula Abeles Democrat Defecting to Mccain

It seems almost everyday there is another story of a Clinton Support who has defected from Mccain. Paula Abeles appeared on Neil Cavuto yesterday where she remarked that she has been receiving threats from Obama supporters since she decided to support John Mccain for president over Obama. Paula Abeles stated she had been receiving threatening emails and phone calls since she started working with Puma and organized a conference call between the Mccain camp and former Hillary Clinton supporters.

You here more and more about these types of things happening as people publicly state their dislike for Barak Obama as president. The Obama campaign did release a statement that these types of actions are not what the endorse, but they have still let it go on for months. Now while Obama can’t really do anything about what people send in emails or say on phone calls, he definitely has not taken a very strong stance on these types of treatments. This has been going on for months at places like the DailyKos where anyone with an opposing view is immediately shunned, called a racist or outright threatened. I know I’ve been called a racist because I don’t support Obama on this blog.

What is this country coming too. We are supposed to be America where our freedoms are revered. We are supposed to have Freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and all the other freedoms we hold dear, but that does not seem to be the case when it comes to Obama supporters. For any Obama supporters who may read this. Unity is not about threatening anyone who may agree with your assessment that Obama is the messiah. Unity is not about squashing anyone else’s ideas. If you want to do as Obama has stated and attempt to bring the party together then you need to respect other people’s right to freedom of religion and speech. You have these rights too, state your case in a well thought out context and perhaps you will win someone over. If you attack people then you are only working to divide them further.
