Save Gas with the Vortec Cyclone
With the high cost of gas these days and the ever increasing threat of even higher gas prices many people are looking for methods to squeeze additional gas mileage out of their car. Gas is currently over 4 dollars a gallon on average and could very easily go to 5 dollars a gallon soon. I don’t know about any one else but five dollar gas does not sound amusing to me. I’ve written about other methods to save gas with hypermiling and now I find the Vortec Cyclone.
The vortec cyclone is a device that you place within your air intake line of your car. This is a small round cylinder which creates a vortex of air pulling into your fuel injector. The vortex created by the vortec cyclone improves your gas mileage by improving the efficiency of the fuel mixing process. This allows for a better mix of air and gas thus providing a more efficient burn for your gas. This improves your gas mileage as its a little known fact that a lot of fuel ina car is never actually burned but is exhausted through the tail pipe.
Many people have reported up to an additional 50 miles per tank of gas as they are driving. The vortec cyclone works with all models of cars which have a fuel injector. This includes the majority of the cars still on the road today. Cars with carburetors are not supported, but unless you have a car made in the 80’s then this probably does not apply to you. The Vortec Cyclone is very inexpensive and very easy to install. I had mine installed in less than 10 minutes and I’m not very mechanically inclined at all and I’m already seeing results from this platinum gas saver,
In addition to the improved gas mileage the Vortec Cyclone also gives a horsepower boost in most cars. My 1998 Ford Mustang can really attest to this. Since installing my Vortec Cyclone I’ve seen a 20% improvement in my gas mileage and my car has that little pickup that it used to have when it was new. At less than forty bucks, per Vortec Cyclone, with a money back guarantee, I’m going to install one on my 1995 Honda Civic as well as my wife’s 2008 Nissan Altima. I expect to save a lot of money by putting this device in all my cars.

The Vortec Cyclone can only work on cars that have a carburetor or single point throttle body injection. It cannot work on multipoint injection ever!! The effect that must be achieved is to eliminate laminar flow in the manifold leading up to the combustion chamber. Idealy vortex generators through the length of the manifold should in therory provide maxium mixing of the fuel/air mixture (not possible in mulitpoint injection ever), A properly designed manifold with built-in vortex generators would be the correct way to achieve near perfect mixing of of the F/A mixture.
If the vortex system is improperly designed it can decrease the velocity of the mixture which can have the opposite effect and lead to less power and poorer mileage.
