Canon PowerShot SX110 IS Digital Camera

I just purchased my wife a Canon PowerShot SX110 Is Digital Camera at Sams club and my first impressions are that this is a very good digital camera for the money. Sams has these digital cameras on sale for $224 dollars which is not bad for the features it has.
The Canon SX110 is a 9 mega pixal camera with a 10X zoom. It also has features such as face recognition as well as movement stabilization. I still have not went through all the settings yet and I also have not read the manual, but I’ve been able to just pick the camera up and use it. This is not always the case with digital cameras as some digital cameras have a little learning curve this is not the case with the Canon PowerShot SX110 as even a technically challenged person such as myself can figure it out then the user interface has to be simple. Don’t let the simplicity fool you, this is still a powerful camera and offers some of the features and quality you would expect to find in one of the more expensive camera models. The picture in this post is actually one I just took with the Canon Powershot SX110. If you decide to pick up one of these cameras make sure you pick up an additional memory card while you are there. The Powershot SX110 comes with a 32 MB SD memory card, but that is not going to be adequate for most people. If I zoomed in a lot during the picture taking I could only get about 10 pictures on this card before it was full. I went ahead and purchased a 4 Gig SD card so I won’t have this problem.
