Chicago and Tokyo eliminated from 2016 Olympic bid

Chicago and Tokyo where eliminated from hosting the 2016 Olympics. Chicago was eliminated during the first round of voting for hosting the 2016 Olympics.

President Obama is on his way back form Copenhagen and he has surely found out that Chicago was not successful  in obtaining this bid. As expected the critics are already criticizing President Obama for wasting his time on this endeavor. They do make some valid points for the president of the UInited States to bascially beg for the Olympics to come to the United States really lowers the office of the presidency.

Hopefully now that this little distraction is over he will get back to work to trying to fix the problems in this country. Unemployment continues to rise and many people in the US are hurting.

The 2016 Olympic announcement should be announced soon. Fox News is reporting that the decision has already been made and we are waiting on the announcement of which city will host the 2016 Olympics.
