Since most people are now turning to Cell phones to replace their home lines a lot of phone companies who sell DSL are suffering. I know most of my friends now use Cable for their Internet connections as they don’t want to have to pay for a phone line they never use. The telephone companies are responding with Naked DSL or Dry Loop DSL as it is also known. Dry Loop DSL is basically DSL without the phone line. You get a phone line into your house and you can access DSL through the line, but you can’t make any phone calls. This is great if all you want is Internet connectivity and you don’t really need to utilize the telephone portion of a DSL line. We killed off our DSL a few years back, but I’ve been considering it again with the absence of the phone bill part of a DSL line and Naked DSL may be the answer.

I’m not unsatisfied with my cable connection at all, but I like to keep switching up so I can save money and get the switch to deals. Right now AT&T is offering some great deals on Dry Loop DSL. Perhaps I will take a look at changing again. I just hate to do without my Internet Connectivity for any length of time. Perhaps I can get a Naked DSL connection during the same day as I turn off the cable modem connection. I’m not totally sold on Dry loop DSL but it may be something work looking into.

I love Honey Baked Hams from the <strike>Honey Baked Ham Store</strike>. In fact not only do I like the Honey Baked Hams, I love the Honey Baked Turkey’s, the Honey Baked Store sides. Pretty much anything the Honey Baked Ham store sells I will eat. One of the greatest thing about the honey Baked Ham Store is not only the great food, but the free samples. I’ll admit that sometimes I just go by there at lunch and try out the samples until I’m full.

But the Honey Baked Ham Store means something special to me at this time of the year as I don’t feel guilty or buying one of the Honey Baked Hams like I do through out the rest of the year. After all you have to have something good to eat for Thanksgiving Dinner and a honey Baked Ham will accomplish that task. One thing I’ve been thinking is since money is a little tight this year should I spend 60 bucks on an Honey Baked Ham or should I look for something a little cheaper. I’m sure I will go with the honey Baked Ham. Perhaps I can find a honey baked ham store coupon to save me some money. Regardless of whether I find a coupon for a honey baked ham or not, I’m probably still going to buy a Honey Baked Ham for Thanksgiving Dinner this year.

In less than two weeks the Back Friday 2008 Sales will open at stores all over the US. Some of these sales will be at stores such at KB Toys where the company plans on opening a lot of their stores at midnight on Black Friday 2008 in hopes of obtaining a rush of shoppers trying to grab that great bargain during the Black Friday 2008 Sales.

Quite a few stores are planning sales, such as Best Buy, Walmart, Target as well as many more. The Black Friday 2008 sales day is not expected to be stellar this year with the slumping economy. Of course that is good for the frugal shopper as its is expected that retailors will slash prices even more this year for Black Friday 2008 sales than other black Friday sale years.

Most retailers keep the exact prices under wraps until right before the Black Friday 2008 Sale so competitors do not have time to match their prices and Black Friday Deals. We’ll see if that hold true this year for the Black Friday sales or whether they advertise more in hopes of bringing in more people to the Black Friday sales day.

Jeff Dunham’s Very Christmas Special will air tonight on Comedy Central. I’m waiting for the new special as I’m sure it will be very funny. I’ve been a fan of Jeff Dunham for years. I remember the first time I saw him at the Punch Line in Sandy Springs which had to be 12 years ago or so. This was long before he got really famous, but he was always very funny. The number of dolls he uses in his show has increased over the years. While Peanut was the first I’ve always thought Walter was the funniest.

i’m eagerly waiting for the Christmas songs from the Terrorist as I’ve seen the trailers and it looks very funny. Of course seeing Jeff Dunham on Comedy Central is nothing like seeing him live. Last time I saw him in person was a couple of years ago. That was the night he first brought out the terrorist and it was very funny. Jeff Dunham started drinking Jack Daniel shots as the show went on and the more he drank the funnier he got. I’m pretty sure if you could hang out with Jeff a little bit then he would be a great guy to hang out with.

With these trying economic times eating cheap is not only a way to save money for many its a necessity. Many families have one or more bread winners out of work. This raises the question in some families about how to eat cheap. Eating is not a luxury and we all must do it. I’m coming to a crossroads in my life where my job is not as secure as it once was so I’m going to be forced to eat cheap soon. Of course we already try to save money around here when ever possible.

One of the best ways we’ve found to eat cheap is by shopping in bulk. You can find items on sales and buy a lot of them at once. This will save you money on the grocery bill. We also spend a lot of time shopping at Aldi’s. I’m not a big fan of discount grocery stores as a lot of time the food is not very good, but that is not the case with Aldi’s. Aldi’s is a great place to shop. The price for groceries is very reasonable and the quality is also good. We can fix a very tasty meal from Alidi’s for the entire family for less than 5 bucks. We try to eat cheap by eating Aldi’s meals at least three times a week and if I do lose my job, then we will be eating cheaper from Aldi’s more.

So how do you eat cheap? Everyone is interested in knowing methods one can use to reduce the cost of the grocery bill and fulfill the basic need of eating when you are forced on a budget.

Blenders are versatile gadgets that you can find in the kitchen. It can do the job of a host of other kitchen tools such as a food processor, a juicer and even a coffee maker. You see, blenders are powerful enough to mash vegetables and fruits and turn it into purees like what a food processor does. It can make juices, cocktails and smoothies like with your ordinary juicer.

It can even grind coffee beans and give you brewed coffee. This versatility is the reason why some people who don’t have the budget or those who don’t have enough space buy a blender instead of buying other kitchen tools. After all why would you need several equipment for your food and drinks when you can use only one.

If you don’t have blenders at home up until now, you are missing a lot especially in terms of creating healthy food and drinks for you and your family. People who subscribe to specific diet plans or those who have turned vegetarians swear by the usefulness of this gadget. So, you should buy now. Here are some tips on how to find a good blender.

1. Go with the best

One of the best blender brands in the market today is the Oster. The company has been known in the field that blenders are often called osterizers the same way that you sometimes refer to sodas as Coke. If you have the money to spare, buy this brand as it is known for being sturdy. This is especially true if you are going to make shakes every time which necessitates crushing hard ice.

The same goes with crushing coffee beans. While other blenders will have a hard time doing this, the Oster will not have problem. But if you are going to use the blender for only making purees or juices, you can probably settle for the cheaper brands that are also good. Just remember not to overdo crushing of ice just in case.

2. Buy new ones

Although used blenders can last a long time, it is good to buy new ones instead. At least, when you buy something that nobody has used before, you can be sure that nothing has happened to it yet. Besides with so much use, the motor can also bog down. However, if you are sure that the second hand blender has not been used often, then it will probably be a good buy. Just check the product and make sure that there are no cracks in the container and the stainless steel blades are in good shape.

3. Ask for the power

When I say power here, it does not refer to the electricity or the outlet. Different blenders will have different types. One will have a more powerful motor than the other. So when you buy, make sure that you ask this question. The type of blender that you will have to buy will depend on the way you will use it.

For instance, if you are going to make purees or use it to crush veggies and fruits that are soft, a blender with les power is already ok with you. However, if you plan to crush ice with it and make shakes, a model that is more powerful is the better choice.

The release date for the Blackberry storm is almost upon us. The Blackberry Storm will be released in the US on November 21,2008. At first I was really stoked about the Blackberry Storm, but now I’m not so sure. In order for it to be really useful in a corporate environment you are forced to order a Blackberry Enterprise Server so it can sync with Microsoft Exchange fully. The Blackberry Storm device is very cool and you can receive your exchange email on the device, but you can not receive contact and calendar information or Exchange without the additional server license. At 1200 bucks for the base license it does not make a lot of fiscal sense in this current economic situation.

To run an Exchange server already requires a server license and to just add additional cost onto that does not make sense. Exchange already provides everyone you need to connect to it from a phone and to add another piece into that does not make good technical sense.

So I guess I won’t be obtaining one of the new Blackberry Storm phone when its released next week.

Today’s college student needs to have several things in order to keep sanity and stay on track. For one, you have to have a good study schedule, next you need to be able to communicate with your friends and family, which is why so many students have the iPhone. Of course you need the additional IPhone Apps before this becomes really useful However, one of the most important aspects about having an iPhone and being a college student, is the fact that you can apply certain applications that will help you both in your academic life, as well as in your social life. With the iPhone consistently coming out with new applications, you are able to find some that are entertainment and helpful. But IPhone Apps are no only for entertainment, you cna buy IPhone apps for all sorts of time management purposes as well as apps to help you stay organized with your studies.

Perhaps one of the coolest IPhone applications for a college student who always wants to have a good time is the Ajax Bartender iPhone application. This amazing application allows you to find and make over 40,000 various alcoholic drinks. However, what really makes this application so unique is the fact that it allows you to choose your drinks based on what you want to put in them. Have you ever been with friends, and someone says they want to drink Tequila, but they don’t know how to make very many different types of drinks with it.

Well, with the Ajax Bartender application, you can choose Tequila, and then you are able to choose what you want to mix it with and an entire list of various drinks featuring the two ingredients you want pop up on your screen. This is perfect for holiday party ideas, spur-of-the-moment get together with friends, or just a great companion when you go bar hopping. You will never have to wonder what you’re going to drink that night.

Another great IPhone application is a far cry from the above one; however, it serves an equally important role in the life of a college student. Whether you are majoring in physical science or criminal justice, you will have to take math courses. And if you are like most people, than you have to have a calculator when you enter these dreaded classes. However, instead of having to carry your iPhone and a huge calculator, you are able to carry just your iPhone when it has the Belfry SciCalc IPhone App installed. This scientific and programming calculator will give you access to many different types of equations. Whether you need this calculator for Algebra, Trigonometric functions or even with standard math problems, this application can handle anything mathematical you throw at it.

Which is what makes this application perfect for a wide variety of college students, because it doesn’t matter if you are working on a hexadecimal problem, or you can’t remember what the square root of 164 is, you are able to use this calculator with ease and precision. Also, the main reason why so many people love this application is because it eliminates the need for a bulky scientific calculator, in most cases, and it allows you to carry only your iPhone. When you’re in college, you have enough to worry about, so why not let your iPhone Belfry SciCalc take care of the math for you? So get out there and find some cool IPhone apps for your IPhone 3G

Hyperion Power Generation is making the news. And why may you ask. Its because of their Hyperion Nuclear power plant. Hyperion plans to create the mini-size nuclear power plants in New Mexico and then sale the mini-nuclear generation units to people who may need electrical energy. The Nuclear power plants are mini and will not create near as much energy as a full sized reactor, but these units are small in size and can be shipped to locations in a semi truck or possibly on a rail car. Hyperion Power Generation nuclear units should be able to power a town of around 25K households with its mini-reactor. Of course there are a lot of controls that will be needed to ensure this is safe, but it may be an answer to reducing the emissions from coal and fossil fuel type power plants and these Hyperion Nuclear plants will be a lot cheaper to produce.

We’ll just have to see what the public’s perception of Hyperion Power Generation’s plan and whether the public will accept these pint size nuclear generation plants or not.
