Bigfoot Press Conference - Bigfoot Found Not

Well the net has been astir with stories of a Bigfoot found in the North Georgia mountains this past week. I’ve thought of posting about this story, but decided to wait for the Bigfoot press conference that was going to happen today. I’ve seen the pictures as I’m sure everyone has by now, but they looked a little fake to me. The two alleged bigfoot hunters Matt Whitton, 31, who lives in the Atlanta suburb of Ellenwood. Whitton and his hiking buddy, 28-year-old Forest Park resident Rick Dyer.

I’ve had doubts about this story all along. I’ve lived in Georgia all my life and never heard any stories of a Bigfoot in Georgia. Rumors run around the south like a merry go round and if people has seen one of these it would have made the rounds. Not to mention the fact that there are some serious hunters in Georgia. Personally I was a very accomplished hunter by the time I was ten years old and I was not anything special. If there where bigfoot creatures in Georgia, one of these good ole boys would have bagged it long before now.

Now part of me hopes there is a bigfoot as claimed with the Bigfoot found stories, but the Bigfoot press conference held today has not produced any proof to the existence as the bigfoot hunters promised. Excuses where made saying the DNA tests where not ready. This may be accurate, but the little results demonstrated showed evidence of a possum and human in two of the tests. Possums or Humans are not all that rare in Georgia, so we are not quite there yet.

So even though the much anticipated Bigfoot press conference has came and gone, we are still no closer to having proof the found bigfoot was actually a bigfoot. Of course they said  it weighed 500 pounds and was over 7 feet tall. Since they found possum DNA, this would be one really big possum and worth investigating. So if you where hoping for conclusive evidence from the Bigfoot conference then you will be disappointed. Lets see what the bigfoot hunters come up with next to get people to sign up for their $1000 dollar bigfoot hunting expeditions. I would buy a ticket in a heartbeat if I thought the claim had any credibility. Of course its been the Summer for strange creature sightings. From the Montauk Monster to the Cacupbra( how every you spell this creature). This bigfoot body that was found and the alleged bigfoot sighting is just another on the list. Perhaps we will get an found alien soon.
