Earthquake in California

There was an Earthquake in California today. The CA Earthquake measured 5.4 on the earthquake seismic scale. I had not heard about this during the day at work and only heard about the California earthquake on the news a few minutes ago. The California earthquake shook Los Angles, San Diego, and pretty much all of Southern California.

From some quick glances at the various news sites reporting this it appears that it was not a really powerful earthquake and there was not significant damage. Also judging from the Internet searches on the Earthquake it would appear that most people are okay as the majority of the Internet searches on the CA earthquake are coming from California. This is good news because at least we know the network is up out their and a large majority of people have power.

Good luck to all the people in California. I’m not sure how Californians deal with these earthquakes. I’ve only been in a very small earthquake on the East coast and I could barely feel that earthquake. I’m sure if I was in anything more than a magnitude 3 on the earthquake scale then I would be scared to death. This would probably not even cause the people of California to take notice. Earthquakes really scare me because of all the potential damage that can be caused by an earthquake. The earth has a lot more power than any of us and all our technology. Whether its an earthquake or a volcano, or some other natural disaster we are all just guests on this earth and it could kill us all at any time.
