Julian Robertson predicts dark times
Julian Robertson appeared in CNBC and made some dire predictions. Julian Robertson is very concerned about the growing debt the US government is creating by its policy of spending. Robertson predicts that if China and Japan do not continue to purchase up our debt then it could create severe economic problems in the US. Robertson remarked that "It’s almost Armageddon if the Japanese and Chinese don’t buy our debt.” This sounds serious and something everyone in the US needs to be concerned about.
The government continues to spend billions when many people in the country are out of work. If people are not working then the taxes are down, but that does not seem to phase the Whitehouse or the Congress as they keep coming up with new ways to spend money. Now this is all under the disguise that they have to spend this money to save the economy, but every where you look experts like Julian Robertson says this is the wrong approach.
My dad used to say that you could not borrow your way out of debt. Perhaps some people in Washington needs to start thinking about this advice and change their policies. He they do not then the quality of life we have grown accustomed to will be a thing of the past and our children will play the price for their reckless actions.
