Hurricane Ike Damage
Hurricane Ike has descended upon Texas causing all types of damage. Centerpoint energy, which provides electrical power to a lot of Houston, is reporting that as many as 90% of its 2 million customers are currently without power.
Hurricane Ike slammed onshore early this morning with a pretty much direct hit on Galveston Texas causing damage for everything in its path. The full extent of the damage Hurricane Ike has caused is still not clear as the hurricane force winds makes it difficult to get helicopters in the area to survey the Hurricane Ike Damage. Hurricane Ike comes on the heels of other Hurricanes which have hit the region over the past few weeks.
Seems like the gulf coast can’t get a break from these Hurricanes. Luckily the hurricane season is almost over so hopefully no other storms will hit the region until next year. Of course the people of the Gulf coast are left with the clean up left from Hurricane Ike’s path of damage and destruction.

You know I wonder just how much influence this storm and Katrina had on the economic developments over the past 2 years.
