Obama asked about Whitey allegation

Ben Hall at Politico has posted that Obama was asked about the Michelle Obama Whitey video rumor that has been circulating on the Internet for the past few weeks. In the true sense of a politician Obama sidestepped the question. While he did not admit the tape exists he did not deny it either. But one thing that did strike me as odd was that he said the following:

“We have seen this before. There is dirt and lies that are circulated in e-mails and they pump them out long enough until finally you, a mainstream reporter, asks me about it,” Obama said to the McClatchy reporter during a press conference aboard his campaign plane. “That gives legs to the story. If somebody has evidence that myself or Michelle or anybody has said something inappropriate, let them do it.”

Now the part that I found odd and was not mentioned in the Politico post was that Obama said if anyone had evidence of myself or Michelle or anybody has said anything appropriate. Now I’ve read a lot of the stories around the net about this and not once have i heard anyone make any allegations that Barak has ever said anything controversial. These allegations have only been made about Michelle. So now I’m wondering since its sure Obama has heard the rumors, why would he mention himself in this? I’ve been wondering for a while that there may be multiple videos. Perhaps that is one reason the republicans may have let the cat out of the bag. Perhaps Michelle is not the only start in some racially based videos. Perhaps they can release one soon of Michelle to embarrass supper delegates who have supported Obama and help to defeat those democrats who are up for election as a down ticket  and then launch another one right before the general election to put the brakes on Barak’s election. Just something to consider.
