Bank of America suspends business with ACORN

The problems for ACORN just keep on coming. Bank of America released a statement today where it intends to stop working with Acorn on foreclosure issues. Many organizations have severed ties with ACORN after videos where released showing ACORN employees engaging in providing illegal advice to undercover reporters on how to run an illegal brothel which exploited minors.

Since the videos have surfaced many different organizations have backed off being associated with the community organization. These include the Census and the IRS. These developments come on the hills of the Senate voting overwhelmingly to cut funding for ACORN.

ACORN has since filed a lawsuit against the film makers alleging they violated the privacy of the ACORN employees, who ACORN had fired immediately after the videos where made public. They have also reportedly filed a lawsuit against the website who published the videos. BigGovernment.com has also shown additional ties between the Obama administration and ACORN.

This story now has a life of its on and there is no telling what will be discovered about this organization before this story dies down.

I’ve been trying to get on the Bank of America website all day. It has been sporadic and comes up at times, but its down. Of course since Bank of America is one of the banks that is rumored to be on the FDIC watch list then this concerned me a little. I know these worries where unfounded, but still with all the turmoil going on lately in the banking industry, not being able to access your funds on the Bank of America Online website caused some panic.
