Who won the Debate

Well the first presidential debate took pace as scheduled last night. I go bored with the debate and did not watch it all. I was pretty much bored so I fell asleep a little over half way through. So I can’t say who really won the debate. From what I saw it was pretty much a tie. There where several areas where it showed that Mccain has a lot more experience than Obama not only at debating, but on world affairs. At times Obama seemed to be losing his cool as Mccain called him to the carpet on items such as his earmarks and pork barrel spending. Obama could not really defend against the attacks. This lead me to believe they where actually true. It has been reported that Obama has been preparing for this debate for weeks so it would seem that Obama would have had better answers for items such as his involvement in these pork barrel projects. My only course now is to believe that Obama has done some things that are not exactly on the up and up during his short time in Congress.
even though I did not see all of the debate I will ay Obama lost but not by much. It would probably be closer to call it a tie. So who won the debate? My asscertation is that no one won the debate. Now we need to wait until the Vice Presidentially debate next week. It will probably be a much more entertaining than the presidential debate was last night.

Antisocial Personality Disorder

Antisocial personality disorder is exactly what some of these people who are attacking Sarah Palin have. I’ve been blown away by some of the comments which have been said about Sarah Palin since she was picked as Mccain’s Veep. I can’t explain it other than these people such as Sandra Bernhard, etc.. must have antisocial disorder. Well perhaps its not antisocial personality disorder as they are definitely socializing and telling others about their thoughts, but they definitely have some type of personality disorder.
I can understand that some people do not agree with Sarah Palin’s views, I don’t agree with all of them myself. Actually the freedom to disagree with someone is what built this country, but the items coming out of some of these people’s mouths just blows me away. They just hate Palin and a lot of the arguments just are not valid or even the least bit logical. Whether its Antisocial Personality disorder or some other disorder these people need to realize they are not helping Barak Obama sways the minds of independents which is a group he will need if he expects to win the Whitehouse.
Mccain gains ground on Obama

It seems that the Obama camp is losing ground since the announcement of Sarah Palin as the Republican Vice Presidential candidate. This was not surprising to me. Sarah Palin brings a type of energy to the race that was not there previously. It seems that this mostly comes from the fact that she is just a normal person. As I watch her and the middle class moms who live in my neighborhood then I see a lot of similarities. This is going to be very hard for the Obama camp to combat.
The poll numbers show the same thing with Mccain reaching 50 % of likely voters and a large number of those where in the Hillary Clinton crowd. Whether Mccain keeps these numbers or not is still to be seen, but one thing is sure the Obama camp is starting to worry about the Independents. Many Independents are moving towards Mccain.
I live in one of the so called battle ground states. Its highly unlikely that Georgia will go blue in the fall so I’m not really sure what Obama thinks he can gain here, but he is trying hard. There have been so many Obama ads on the television most of which attacks Mccain and attempts to compare him to Bush. This is probably not helping Obama. Then I got an email today asking me to go out and knock on doors telling people about Obama. I don’t think I’ll be doing that, but the fact that he is asking people says he is getting worried.
Many people say his support base of young people is fading. As I thought many of these people where more about hating Hillary Clinton than they where supporters of Barak Obama. Couple this with the fact that many young people have a short attention span and this election is going along too long to maintain focus. Several of the pollsters now expect many of Obama’s initial supporters to just stay home. This strikes me as strange since Obama still is raking in large amounts of cash. In August its been reported that he raised $66 Million dollars compared to Mccain’s 47 million. Obama is reported to have another 500,000 supporters the past month. SO if his support is falling who is giving the money? Perhaps he is taking money from the people in Germany who seemed to love him so much. Is that legal, if they are taking contributions from people outside the U.S? Its very possible since the Obama campaign has made a lot of use of the Internet during this campaign and it reaches far beyond the U.S. borders.
